In this particular location among others in the immediate area there is an apparent constant competition between people to see who can get their footprint the highest on the wall. This appears to have led to people taking their shoes off and using their hands. I affixed a simple shoe-shaped frame to the wall higher than the highest foot print initially, expecting to find a foot print in side of it. Instead footprints were placed to the left and right. The actions of cause and effect at play, my actions were a participation just as much as people leaving footprints.
