Artist Statement

 

Seeing is something we can forget to do as we get older. We lose the ability to acknowledge endless amount of possibilities that can exist in any given circumstance. My work seeks to show the viewer what they are missing.

 

Play is at the epicenter of my work; this play with the material allows me to develop a relationship with it. The relationship facilitates both discovering what the material is capable of being and exploring what happens when it is pushed to be something unexpected. Through this exploration of the material as well as about the space the pieces occupy much can be learned and perceived.
